"Dead Zone" is a reflection on Brazilian colonial history and the relationship between European art and the exploitation of Brazilian natural resources. This piece, created with 30kg of golden glitter covering Ianês’ naked body, lasts for three hours, during which Ianês makes subtle, meaningless hand gestures, in an empty attempt to establish communication with the observers.
