"Messenger" is an installation and action that Ianês carried out for their first solo show at Vermelho Gallery in São Paulo, Brazil. The intensity of the action is felt as Ianês, blindfolded, walks for a full hour along the narrow wooden platforms connecting fourteen chairs, carrying envelopes with blank pages in their mouth from one chair to the next, replacing each envelope. After the action, the installation remained as an autonomous, empty testimony of the event for the rest of the exhibition.
