"crossfire" is an action and institutional intervention, part of the “No Intermission” exhibition, curated by Marina Abramović, where the public, the artist, and other artists involved in the exhibition created a dynamic space that was both productive and destructive using available materials. This process established a decentralised environment that fostered social, political, and aesthetic experiments, over which the artist primarily acted as a mediator and did not control. The intervention took place on the main stage of the Carré Theatre and lasted for six days, coinciding with the theatre’s opening period. The floor was covered with a large white canvas, resulting in a collective artwork created collaboratively with the participants. On the final day, the canvas was hung vertically as a backdrop for the artists’ talk.
